Hello and welcome to our Ffrith page.

 Beach Centre Is In Administration

A company which hoped to turn Denbighshire's Ffrith Beach festival gardens into a major tourist attraction has gone into administration. Ffrith Leisure has leased the Prestatyn site from Denbighshire council since 2007, and employs 50 people there.

In a statement, the council said the building, which has a bowling centre, funfair and play areas, was still operating as a going concern.  From BBC News 3 February 2009 Read more Here

Most of the rides have been removed from the site, except for a few children's rides which have been moved to the enclosed play area at the rear of the main building.  The Pepsi Loop is rumoured to have been sold and moved to Holland.

Ffrith Beach had a large funfair in the 60's and 70's but due to falling numbers of visitors, it had closed by the early 1990's

Since September 2007, the Ffrith Beach Fun Parc is being developed on Ffrith Beach with the dunes and its wildlife managed by Denbighshire County Council in conjunction with the developers Ffrith Leisure Ltd. The first new unit to open on Ffrith Beach was La Freccia Ristorante

The Festival Gardens site has been the location for a few small travelling fairground rides in recent years and, in 2008, rides began arriving from the closed-down Ocean Beach funfair at Rhyl, which was destroyed by a development scheme favoured by the local council.
